Subject: Agent Deployment on VDI / Virtual Machines
Solution:
The recommended way of deploying Infocyte Agents on virtual machines is to install them as a standalone package (Installing Agents on each virtual machine separately).
Pre-installing the Agent on a Base machine and cloning the virtual machine, results in inherited agent IDs from the master image, and the result will be machines not presenting themselves to the the web UI.
For Agent installation on multiple machines please refer Installation Guide at https://support.infocyte.com/hc/en-us/articles/360004569372-Installing-Infocyte-HUNT
Below are the supported installation methods:
1) Using a manual install (Right click the file --> Run as Administrator)
2) Using PowserShell / Batch file which is available in our official GitHub page (https://github.com/Infocyte/PowershellTools/tree/master/AgentDeployment)
3) Using Microsoft GPO (https://support.infocyte.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027746551-Deploying-the-Agent-with-GPO)
4) Other deployment tools such as an RMM.
